This is a sign I've been here too long but...Deviantart used to offer damn near endless profile customization. You could edit the HTML code of your profile. You had COMPLETE control over it. Then they took it away, there has been years of backlash, and now they're advertising customization. ...if you buy core membership. And the customization is...not nearly as good. In the slightest. It's like instead of making a lowrider from some piece of shit Panther body from the junk yard you just go to the dealership, check boxes on a Dodge Charger, pay full price and drive around calling that a low rider. That sort of scummy bullshit leaves a foul taste in the mouth.

I'm probably going to close this account in the near future. With the amount of stolen art, AI art, and all the other crap, this place has become incredibly toxic and I feel it's more a liability than a benefit to stay here.

Man AI art really took the fuck off... I don't make money off of art but like christ, charging 75 dollars to enter a fucking text prompt? I could train my own AI model for free and get the same thing. It's just clogging up Deviantart, pushing artists off an already dying platform, if there's any lesson here, it's that you don't have to be the best artist, just good enough to draw in the people who don't give a shit. Kind of wonder how sustainable this is because it all looks the same. Like...everyone uses the same reference, and it's really easy to spot. Especially when people don't take the time to make the AI make better hands, eyes, or background elements. Like at first I was kind of optimistic about it. I don't think it'll kill off art but at this point I'm kind of annoyed with it. Again, it all looks the fucking same. Hopefully it's just a trend that dies to obscurity because of an oversaturated market.

there any way to download an entire gallery? Like I'm on the verge of leaving this platform and the only reason I'm still here is to curate this gallery. I've gotten a weird uptick in traffic recently but as I do not make art for a living and am not beholden to big numbers, the recent changes in DA with NFTs and AI art is making me want to leave. I've got galleries in other places but I never really used them to the extent I used DA.
