Slender Madness drawing by Internet-Cancer Slender Madness drawing by Internet-Cancer
So, I stayed up one night, and on this night I happened to OD on MarbleHornets videos, and thus this little piece of madness came out. Almost all of it is original... Almost. Hel isn't actually "Slenderman", but it just looks cool blended in with all the other madness.
Drawn by hand, then inverted by Photoshop Editor, in case you really care.
And if I just shamed the whole Slenderman phenomenon, please let me know.

I saw Slenderman back when I was 4. I at first thought it was just a dream. I tend to have really bad nightmares. But my grandmother and grandfather, who are both of german descent, told me a story about Der Grosseman, Des Ritter, and a creature known to italians and french as Ritter Vieans. The names all point to the same person. And are traced back to the very root of Sumerian myth. Although they referred to him as the white faced knight. There is also a french tale, thatt is a true history story, about a war hero of the battle of Orleans alongside Joan of Ark, named Gilles de Rais. After the war, he was arrested and executed for the abductions, torture, and murder of over 200 children, aged between 4-12, for black magic experimentation. Before he was killed, he screamed that the man with no face forced him to do it. Then he was killed by hanging.

No no, it's fine. It's just that the last person who did that tried to convince me I was being stalked IRL, and in all honesty, I thought it was quite funny. He tried too hard.

But I had a Slenderman-like monster in my nightmares as a child. Only he was more or less a super-deformed sculpted shrub that walked, and had a tiny wicker version of himself that never stopped grinning or laughing, and had a death grip with tentacle arms.

Hmmm I think that's a different creature. I'll look into it. And wow, the guy really tried to convince you that you were being stalked?? wooooooow.

it was funny. he had two accounts, one playing a "vicitm" and the other playing slendy. It was entertaining, like watching a very bad B horror movie.

I remember that it was at 12 at night.
And this is one of the few things I found even somewhat scary.
it's a brilliantly executed ultra-low budget horror series.

why did you misspell hell?

:iconinternet-cancer:

I didn't. 'Hel' is a Norse goddess of her underworld with the same name. In Norse mythology, she's the one that passes ultimate judgment on who goes to Valhalla and who gets to spend eternity with her in hel. "Hell" is actually derivative of her.
In my Slenderman series, she is the implied antagonist.

Oh, I thought you were trying to avoid writing out the whole word, like people do other swears. I got confused because "Hell" is not a swear in this context.
This reason is much more interesting.

The Circle X is usually found where Slenderman has been (like a territorial mark, but it may have deeper meaning). It is commonly featured in the MarbleHornets videos and is Slenderman's calling card.
It is also drawn by those "overexposed" to Slenderman and are in the process of going irreversibly insane.

...There's no real answers yet as to what it is.

The MH videos freak me out too much for me to even attempt this. XD
This is still cool, though.

Ehh, Masky just seems to be a distraction from the plot, but that was an assumptian. Plus, all the fanart surrounding Masky really doesn't give him a good air.
I'm a purist...sorry.

True. XDD I can see your point and agree, but they might have a killer ending. Pun not intentional. :)

Masky just adds more creepiness to the storyline, in my opinion. D;

They might, they might...I might go and watch them when I have the time. I use a lot of them as a reference when I write my Slenderman Pieces. But then I use my own nightmares to mix it up into a big prickly pile of creepy.
